I’ve been going to Alyssa for almost two years. She has always taken excellent care of me and my hair. In fact, I moved to Orange County over a year ago and still drive down to San Diego to see her almost monthly. I got my first gray hair when I was 21 years old and it’s been an uphill battle ever since! I go to Alyssa for cut, color, and highlights and regularly get compliments on my hair. Her rates are incredible and she often is able to accommodate my last minute appointment requests. I went to see Alyssa for the Brazilian Blowout. I was very IMPRESSED with the results. I am African American. My hair is very fine, soft and frizzy. It will not hold any style and my bangs always turn into a puffball. I was concerned that since my hair was too fine that the product would be damaging. When I left the salon, my hair was beautifully straight and silky. My ends were smooth and straight. Amazingly, it does not frizz up or revert back! I am pleasantly surprised and pleased. I am grateful that I came across Alyssa. Besides being able to deal with African American hair, she is very friendly and personable. I highly recommend her. Soon I will take my son to her so she can tame his curly golden locks while keeping his natural curl. Go see her. You won’t regret it.

Early December, I was in a total bind. My normal stylist was booked through January, and I needed a haircut and highlights before I left for my Mexican vacation (and wedding). Yikes. My fault, since the holidays were coming up. So I found Alyssa on Google and decided to go to her since she had some awesome introductory deals on color and highlights. I was wary since, at the time, there were no online reviews available outside her own web site, but I took the chance since I was running out of time…

I’m glad I went to her because she did a great job on my hair and color. She consulted with me prior to doing anything and made sure I agreed with her plan before starting. She’s nice and quite professional during the appointment. I even scheduled a Brazilian Blowout for the following week. The Brazilian blowout came out great. I’ve never done it before, but it’s been 4 weeks, and my hair is still fabulous and so easy to style. I bought a couple of products from her, and she was very informative on which products to use for my maintenance, and I didn’t feel any pressure to buy from her as some other salons tend to do. I will definitely come back to her for my next treatment.

I would highly recommend Alyssa to anyone looking for a stylist in SD. Sola Salon’s setup is quite cute, with private spaces for each stylist, so you feel like you’re in your own private suite. The results were fabulous!

I had a Brazilian Blow out and trim today by Alyssa. Everything was perfect. Alyssa was very professional, sweet, completed the treatment in a timely manner and the result was outstanding. I posted her info on our women’s mountain bike club page for SD residents and gave her card to my girlfriend in SD to go to. Price for everything including product was incredible. Too bad I’m leaving SD Sunday because this would be my new stylist.

I was referred to Alyssa by a friend who got the Brazilian Blowout treatment and loved it. I went to Alyssa for a Global Keratin treatment last week and after washing my hair I am IMPRESSED!! I got 3 treatments done before but I was not as satisfied as I am right now. My hair is so straight and smooth its amazing. This is the first time I actually get to leave my hair natural after washing it without having to blow dry it or straighten it since my hair is usually very frizzy and wavy. I definitely recommend Alyssa for Keratin treatments and I am definitely going back for another one after this treatment wears off.

I was more than satisfied with the Pure Brazilian! Alyssa is super friendly and did a great job. I was a little nervous about how it would turn out after I had to wash it and flat iron it myself but it ended up great. I highly recommend Alyssa at Studio Salon #3 and will definitely be coming back again to get more treatments.

This is my first review ever! I just had to join Yelp so I could share my amazing experience with Alyssa Baxter at her salon! I have incredibly thick, frizzy hair and after leaving Alyssa’s chair it has been healthy, smooth, glossy and maintenance – free for almost 3 months now. The big test was taking my new Brazilian – blowout ‘do to Kauai just a week after she gave me the treatment. Humid weather is my enemy, but not anymore.

As for her salon, it is very welcoming and I would recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect Brazilian blowout. I haven’t had a trim or color done by her yet, but I’m certain I’ll be adding on to this when I do!!
